- Church identification is verified from a reproduction in Greiff, John Notman, architect, p.174, as the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Locust Street west of Fifteenth Street, Philadelphia, designed by Notman, and built in 1851-1853.
- While the creator may be George Gugert, Francis A. Gugert is identified in the Biographical dictionary of Philadelphia architect's, p.319, as having attended Drexel Institute around this time period.
