- No specific project identification is given on these plans for the cellar & first story. However, Walter's diary entries from Apr. to the end of Nov. show that he was working on a Orphans Asylum for Norfolk, as well as the City Hall. A newspaper clipping from the Norfold Herald, Sept. 10, 1947, located in the Athenaeum's reference file for this building, discusses the Female Orphan Society and Asylum, and notes that the cornerstone for the new building was laid on Wed. Sept. 8th.
