- The four drawings here all show the same title and creator identification and give April 1846 dates. Included are a front elevation and principal floor plan, and a variant partial front elevation and partial entrance plan.
- Walter's diary entries confirm his work on this project in 1846, meeting with Dr. Tyng who was rector at the time the church was built. Data in the Athenaeum's reference file for this building, however, state that the 1846 (Protestant Episcopal) church, constructed at the N.W. corner of Rutherford Place and 16th St. in New York, was built according to designs by Blesch and Leopold Eidlitz. It was the successor to sT. George's Chapel, formerly on Beekman St. The 1846 church was destroyed by fire in 1856, and reconstructed according to the 1846 plans.
