- No Ballinger log book entry. Title based upon scrapbook index entry, which reads "J.D. Lit, 233 S. 5th St.", for photo no. 771 only. Local files read "J.D. Leit store and office building" and notes the Frank Furness designed bank to the left of 233 in the photo. The photo shows evidence of a shared building, with three separate buildings, one for a printer with a woman standing in the doorway. Signs by the other doors & windows read "S. Gotlar & Co. Wholesale Jobber in dry goods & woolens" Window sign on the building to the right indicate "Geo. W. Eng..., 235, Plumbe[r]"
