This preliminary sketch has been identified by the cataloger by visual comparison with a Chandler perspective rendering of the Church on p.18 of Hotchkin (1897) Rural Pennsylvania. Hotchkin states that Chandler was involved with the original incorporation of the church & that the cornerstone was laid in 1888. The sketch view is of the door, church & tower, which would be to the far left in the rendering in Hotchkin. Title & date are taken from Hotchkin.
