- Notes:
- Only one note of identification is given on any of the seven items. This is a pencil note on the verso on one sheet "Jaques Ave. House", perhaps more correctly "Jacques Ave. House". It should be noted that this identification has been seen on the verso of drawings for another house NYA*015/002, which reads "Jaques Ave House | Highland Park House". Also, there is a drawing for a house in Highland Park, N.J. by architect Alexander Merchant, cataloged separately. It may be the case the drawing NYA*015*001, which has the similar verso label, was simply being used as a wrapper for these two sets of drawings, without regard for the image on the original side.
- This set contains 7 unidentified sketches of a two story house, with dormer or attic, in plan & elevation. The designs show similarity, in mass, room spaces, and rendering style, but no one drawing exactly corresponds with another. These may have been design sketches, and it is not known if any of the drawings correspond to a house, as built.
- Forms part of: New York and New Jersey architecture collection.
