Drawing DAV*002*001 appears to be envelop upon which it is presumed Davis has sketches two alternative plans for the principal floor of the residence. The identification with the images reads "Capt. Williamson, V.M.I." The mailing label on the verso includes what appears to be a cancellation stamp reading "Paid 10 PO" "Lexington, Va. Mar. 17", and the address "To A.J. Davis, Esq, architect, New York City", return address "Chg T(or J(?))HW for paid". Drawing DAV*002*002 provides the title information above & gives three views: [1] facade [2] plan of principal floor [3] variation plan.
