- According to the Biographical dictionary of Philadelphia architects, Paul Armon Davis, III entered the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1896, studing at both Atelier Pascal aand Atelier Godfrey Frequet. This data was collected from his AIA application. Davis returned to Philadelphia to practice, initially with his brother, Seymour, in the firm Davis & Davis.

- The drawing is linen backed with a large stamp on the verso: C.A. Blumhard B.P. Co., 38 So. 6th St., Phila., poster mounters & blue printers. There is evidence of mounting, and the remainder of an identifying exhibit sticker on the verso.
