Photographs include: [1] 1 street scene, view of facade. Shows ca. 1940 vintage cars & Ambler Drug Co. store to left of theater. [2] 28 items identified on verso with stamp: "Standard Photo Service Co., legal photographers, 2031 Chestnut St., Phila., Pa., Locust 3-20028, December 30, 1964, Ambler Theatre, Photographed by Richard Rothman, [signed] E.R. Rothman." These items have numbers B1855-1 to 9 and B1855-11 to 29. [3] 1 item, with no creator or date identification, showing rear exit, with "no parking .." sign. [4] 1 item labelled "Rick Specdor, 1983"--verso.
Postcard shows street scene, with the "Ambler Theatre, Christian Cinema" flanked by a book store on the left & film library on the right, all still with facade similar to the ca. 1940 image. The marquee & theater sign has changed since 1964 photographs above. The postcard is address to the donor from Rick Specter, with a not, giving Harry Bristow, a former T.W. evangelist, as the operator and the age of the theater as 55. The postcard is postmarked Oct. 24, 1984.
