- Glazer, Philadelphia theatres, A-Z, p. 62, identifies the Astor Theatre (German Theatre, Lyric, American, Astor), 722-28 West Girard Avenue. Glazer indicates that there was an earlier Astor Theater on the same site, previous to the red brick building built in 1930's and standing in the mid-1980's. Notes on the verso of the drawings suggests these plans are for the newer theater, at Girard & Franklin Sts.
