Glazer, Philadelphia theatres, A-Z, gives an overview of the development of the Metropolitan Opera House to its use as a church by the Philadelphia Evangelistic Center, depicted in the drawings here. The building, located at Broad, Poplar & Carlisle Sts., was originally by architect William H. McElfatrick, and opened as the Philadelphia Opera House on Nov. 17, 1908.
