Glazer, Philadelphia theatres, A-Z gives the address at Broad Street & Montgomery Avenue, indicating that the structure was built by Betz Brewery, with a 1923 renovation by Hoffman - Henon. Glazer gives Plowman as the 1887 architect, with the opening in 1888, and the Nixon chain taking over in 1913 with Lamb as the renovating architect. A 1922 fire led to the Hoffman & Henon renovation. Later the building was partially demolished and the remainder used for Wilkie Buick Company showrooms.
