- Glazer, Philadelphia theatres, A-Z, identifies this theater as the William Penn Theatre, 4063 Lancaster Avenue (Northwest corner of Fairmount and Lancaster to Olive Street), with original architects Carl Berger and Mathew Schmid and Son. Glazer indicates the theater open in Sept. 1909 and was redecorated in 1914 and 1926. This Hoffman Henon Co. drawing was probably made as a proposal drawing for the 1925 renovation.
