- Glazer, Philadelphia theatres, A-Z gives the address of 1214 Market Street. Glazer indicates that the Palace, also known as Lubin's Palace, was built by film pioneer Sigmund Lubins in 1908, remodeled in 1919 by architect D.I. Henon, with a new facade created in 1945 by architect William E. Lee. The building was demolished some time after closing May 31, 1971.
