Log book no. 1, p. 61, lists photo no. 427, "Schoenhut, old bldgs., Boston Ave." From other photos, the buildings at the corner of Boston & Sepviva appear to be the buildings which will be demolished for a new Schoenhut building. Other buildings on this street may be Schoenhut buildings, with the office building behind these buildings, facing Adams Street.
Photo no. 798 shows the old building with the sign: "Toys, The A. Schoenhut Co., manufacturers, Office 2215 Adams St." and a new building in construction on the corner, with signs: [1] Ballinger & Perrot, architects & engineers, reinforced concrete specialists ... [2] Joseph Bechtel, ... contractor, 140 Fairmount Ave. [3] Philip Haibach Contracting Co., builders, 26th & Thompson Sts. Photo no. 799 shows this new building rear in construction, with sign "Turner-Forman Concrete Steel Co., engineers and contractors, Commonwealth Bldg., Philada., Pa." Photo nos. 427 and 700 show the previous buildings on the site of the new building.
Photo nos. 2971 shows a much larger manufacturing building in progress, with the Schoenhut lumber storage hut in the background & in photos 2972-2973. The location of these buildings is not known. A sign on the lumber shed reads "The A. Schoenhut Company, Inc. Office, Adams and Sepviva Sts. Toys & Dolls.", which is the address of the older buildings in the earlier photos.
