Ballinger log book 1, p. 92 lists photo numbers 988-993, 1021-1022, 1108-1111, 1705-1710, 1715-1717, 3126-3129, 3133, 3135 & 3137. Photo no. 1111 shows stack reading "A.I. Co." and signs: [1] All machinery for this plat ice plant being furnished by The Vilter Mfg. Co., Milwaukee, Wis. W.E. Hexamer, Eastern agent, Phila. and New York [2] Being erected, ice plant of highest modern type for American Ice Co. [3] American Ice, Coal Company. Photos 17xx show the plant damaged by fire. Photos 31xx shows a later building in construction, apparently at a different site, in Frankford. Ballinger log book 2, p. 177 lists photo nos. 3260-3263(absent) for the Frankford site, and photo no. 3915 as "View from Whitby Avenue". Photo 3915 is believed to show the complete building being constructed in the 31xx photos. Photo no. 3939 is also identified from the label on the building at the entrance. 39xx photo date estimated from neighboring photos.
