Ballinger log book 1, p. 176-177 lists photo numbers 1702, 1726, 1744, 1754, 1761, 1770-1773 and 1787. Photo no. 1702 is an architectural drawing, a rendering of the front elevation of the proposed building.
Ballinger log book 1, p. 196-197 list photo nos. 1789, 1791-1792, 1795, 1813-1816, 1861-1868, 1877, 1879 and 1899-1900.
Ballinger log book 2, p. 24-25 list photo nos. 1984, 1986, 1992, 1995, and 3182-3184. The company is now called "The Viscose Company" in this & later log entries.
Ballinger log book 2, p. 174-175 list photo nos. 3197-3198, 3233-3234, 3271-3273, 3294-3296, 3354-3356, 3391, 3410-3411 and 3471. The 32xx numbers are absent from this collection. Photo no. 3198 shows a construction sign "Ballinger & Perrot, architects & engineers, Philadelphia, New York".
Development of the Marcus Hook site was begun by Courtauld & Co. in 1910, as documented by the Ballinger Collection. Included at this site were factory buildings, the Dining Hall documented in this record, a dispensary, a small store, and the "Industrial Village," which included a variety of worker housing located cross the Philadelphia & Wilmington Post Road. Photos of other buildings at the Marcus Hook site, or at other sites, under the earlier company name "Samuel Courtauld & Co.", or later company name Viscose Co.", are cataloged separately.
