Notes:
Ballinger log book 3, p. 88 lists photo numbers 4027-4029 and 4048. These are architectural drawings, perspective renderings for a monumental building complex with several twelve-story buildings as the base & an ornate skyscraper tower on the corner structure. The scale of the structure and the listing of "New York" first as the location of the Ballinger Co. practice suggests this is a building proposed for New York City. The firm often practiced industrial building in Long Island City. However, this structure may be more appropriate to Manhattan. Photo no. 4048, lists the firm as "Philadelphia & New York" and has the imprint "General Reproduction Co., Philadelphia", so the building may have been proposed for Philadelphia as well. Sussman is known as a Philadelphia company. The project name is given in the log book.
Forms part of: Ballinger Company. Architectural photographs of the work of Ballinger & Perrot, and the successor Ballinger Company.
