- Commission no. 291, drawing nos. 1-11, 5A-9A, 12A, 13, 20-22, 31-32, E1-E2, unnumbered, survey & subcontractor drawings. Accompanied by on leaf of graph paper giving heating data.
- Set includes drawings prepared by Frank O. Maxson, civil engineers, U.S.N. and others apparently from the Office of the Quartermaster. An 1899 drawing by C.C. Wolcott, civil engineer, U.S.N., used as a reference drawing for this project has been cataloged separately. Drawings E1-E2 are lighting plans prepared by Pennsylvania Electric Equipment Co., contracting engineers, 1202 Race St., Phila., Pa.
- Drawing no. 32 has block plan showing footprints of buildings, and note "Buildings blacked solid are constructed. Buildings shown in outline are suggested only. 2-3-4-5-6-7-8 - Officers Houses. 9 - Commanding Officers House. 12-13 - Barracks." Items nos. 2-3-4 & 13 are blacked solid in this block plan.
- Drawing RKC291*043 has note on verso: "League Island, Pa., also Yerba Buena Island, San Fran., Cal." suggesting that similar facilities may have been constructed at two sites.
