- This drawing was used as a reference for a 1907-1909 Rankin, Kellogg & Crane project for the Officers quarters for the U.S. Marine Corps., Philadelphia Navy Yard, League Island, Philadelphia, Pa., cataloged separately. The project set includes later drawings for the causeway prepared by Frank O. Maxson, civil engineer, U.S.N. for the Bureau of Yards & Docks.
- Has bottom left: "Approved & forwarded, Silas Casey, Rear Admiral, U.S.N. Commandant." Also, "C.H. Umstead."
- Has later stamp: "Received Jul 17, 1908, Rankin, Kellogg & Crane, Philadelphia." Has place for approved, but no signature: "Approved ... Chief of Bureau." Stamp on verso: "Headquarters, U.S.M.C., Quartermaster's Office. Enclose. PN 8/13, 20000. Rec'd Aug. 14, 1908."
