James J. Ryan & Co., contractors was one of several firms working for Wilson Brothers on this large project for the Reading Terminal Headhouse, train shed, and market hall. The Ryan drawings appear to be structural, citing walls, abutments, arches, foundations, etc. Numerous geographical locations are given. One drawing is a site plan of column foundations from Melon St. to Callowhill St. with Spring Garden in center and from 9th to 13th St. One drawing cites excavation for arches at Carlton St., Wood St., Pearl St., Vine St., Race St., Marks Lane, Cherry St.
