- Mellor died Jan. 11, 1940, however it appears Meigs continued to use the firm name of Mellor & Meigs on many later drawings. The title block of drawing MAM*015*020 shows Meigs annotations of his new status by Oct. of 1941. He has added the word "Retired" in pencil, and crossed out the Juniper St., Philadelphia address to replace it with "Radnor, Pa.", where he was evidentally working from his home. Also, from his annotation that he has made, traced and checked the drawing himself, it would appear that he is working alone.
