- Meigs property account book has 1939 entry "Ornamental wrought iron gate to garden, The Peak." The body of this entry states that the gate was made by Samuel Yellin and purchased from the estate of Charles E. Mather. Yellin was to remove the gate from the Mather site, make necessary alterations and additions, and install at the Peak.
