- This set includes front & rear elevations, plans of basement through 7th floors, and a longitudinal section. Spaces are not annotated, and the use of the building not confirmed, but the front elevation suggests as retail establishment. It is not known, but likely, that all or part of the upper floors were used as residences. The date is given on KLS*001*003 only.
- John Kellum, 1809-1871, is known from several reference sources, including Macmillan, 2:558, which cites him partnered with Gamaliel King till around 1859, at which time he joined with his son, ["Benjamin", Francis (1979)]. Kellum was known for his work in iron, including several notable New York City structures, and also work with King in Brooklyn.
