Summary:
This record is parent to 13 architectural project records, and uncataloged drawings, for the buildings and grounds of the Estate of Edward Townsend Stotesburg, Esq. in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania. The drawings collection encompasses survey drawings, prints representing the work of the original architect Horace Trumbauer, landscape development by French architect Jacques Grèber and later alterations and additions by a variety of agents. Included are drawings from 1979, which show the development of the old estate into the Stotesbury Townhomes. Included from the original estate are drawings for the main mansion, Whitemarsh Hall, as well as for the entrance, gates, and gardens, and several outbuildings, built & unbuilt.
