- Place of Publication:
- 1920-1929.
- Biography/History:
- George Howe left the firm in 1927, which accounts for the change in title block from Mellor, Meigs & Howe for drawing MMH117-1 (1920,1927) to Mellor & Meigs for drawing MMH117-2 (1929). The firm account book [3] Mc-P list five jobs for the Newbold Northeast Harbor, Maine property from 1920 to 1929. When a commission no. is given in these entries, it is "no. 117". These two drawings probably represent two separate jobs, which correspond to two separate entries in the account books, first "Alt. to house at Northeast Harbor, Me., 1927" and later "Misc. work at residence in Northeast Harbor, Me. 1929."
- Notes:
- Drawing no. 117-1 has date March 15, 1920 in title block and "New windows, 1927 alteration" in lower right corner. Drawing no. 117-2 has date 9-18-1929, with a sheet title "Alterations and additions." It appears probable that an earlier drawing no. 117-1, from the original 1920 project, was reused during the 1927 alterations.
- Forms part of: Meigs, Arthur I. The Arthur I. Meigs collection of architectural graphics & records, including works from the offices of Mellor & Meigs (1906-1915), Mellor, Meigs & Howe (1916-1927), and Mellor, Meigs & Howe (1928-1940).
