Athenaeum copy: Three original World War I sketches laid in: first entitled "Déménagement ...," signature difficult to read, possibly J. (or P.) Bautier or Pautier. Second: "Retour de la tranchée," dated 1916 with initials "HD" (possibly DH, as initials are on top of one another). Third: "A L'affût," dated 1916, also with initials "HD." "HD" works are both on French military postcards.
