Date of imprint is taken from a Charles Wood catalogue, as is the attribution of some of the photographs to Charles Marville; according to a letter from Marie de Thézy, author of "Marville Paris" (1994), the photographic images which she has attributed to Marville correspond to negatives with his official stamp; other images cannot be attributed to Marville with absolute certainty, however it is known that at least 21 views of the Opera have been attributed to him.
