- Journal of Benjamin Henry Latrobe Jr. son of famous architect and engineer Benjamin Henry Latrobe (1764-1820); BHL Jr. was born in Philadelphia and educated in Maryland; after studying law he took up civil engineering and later served as chief engineer of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (1847-75).
