- First folio missing; first full āyah is verse 12 in Sūrat al-Baqarah (2:12).
- Foliation: Western numeral foliation in pencil added, upper left recto (not visible in images); catchwords on every verso, lower left.
- Layout: 11 long lines, border-ruled.
- Manuscript is in poor condition; many leaves are loose; binding is off; worm damage; water and fire damage throughout.
- Script: Written in naskh using black ink; pointed and vocalized.
- Decoration: Readings in red, sūrah titles rubricated and framed; gold roundels at end of each verse; gold roundels outlined in black double line with a black vertical line underneath accompanied by a red letter ʻayn in margins to indicate rukuʻ. Juzʼ markers in red ink in margins; gold non-circular medallions indicating other text partitions. Some decorations finished by another hand; textblock border-ruled in red; page openings framed in faded black.
- Binding: Bound in reddish brown leather over pasteboard (Type III); headband in black and brown thread; seperate marbled paper pastedowns inside both covers; detached reddish textile wrapper; blind stamped and gilded mandorlas on front and back covers with four pendants along vertical axis and cornerpieces; covers are badly water and fire damaged.
