Summary:
Order book for the 1st New York Regiment at Fort Schuyler from 1 July 1779 to 24 May 1880, with orders issued by Lt. Col. Cornelis Van Dyck and Major John Graham, some signed and in their hands. Notable orders relate to a Fourth of July celebration and General Burgoyne's surrender at Saratoga. Many others concern military preparations, courts martial, Indian trade proscriptions, and other matters related to protection from the Iroquois on the New York frontier.
