- Summary:
- Account book of John Lovett, ship captain and merchant of Beverly, Mass., detailing distribution of prize monies from the privateer ship Pilgrim. Lovett was the agent for prizes captured by the Pilgrim. Entries in Lovett's hand are chiefly for 1780-1781, but there are several additions for 1806-1807 and later, most signed by Elizabeth Lovett, to certify that money was received by various sailors from Lovett's estate after his death; entries for Dec. 1825 refer to payments made from the estate of Elizabeth Lovett.
