- Founded by minister and social reformer Graham Taylor in 1894, Chicago Commons was one of the original settlement houses serving immigrants on Chicago's northwest side. Includes administrative files, residential agreements, incorporation papers, scholarship fund information, correspondence, financial information from the 1890s, programmes and publications, reports and scrapbooks from the Chicago Commons series of the Graham Taylor Papers, 1894-1944. These are supplemented by land and colonisation pamphlets from the Chicago, Burlington and Quincey Railroad Archive.
