Summary:
The years of 1550-1600 are both a time of peace and a period of violent conflicts, in which the two empires often make a deal, or tear up existing ones in terms of Ottoman-Habsburg relations. As diplomatic relations developed, efforts were made to recognize Turks and Islam through works written in Europe, while on the other hand, an anti-propaganda was carried out on the Ottoman administration, which was thought to have a more permissive management, and aimed at preventing the public's inclination. The defense of European lands against Turkish raids poses a serious problem, and the expenses required for this were collected under the name Türk Vergisi. During the same period, those who came to Ottoman lands due to various reasons were influential in the flow of history through the flowers, trees, animals and manuscripts they carried to Europe. As they had stated in there letters, Europeans did not only recognize the Ottoman Empire and the Turks, but realized that they had much to learn from, and they realized that they could complete their own shortcomings by observing this foreign society, which has a different institution and understanding. The main axis of this study is the mutual investigation and evaluation of this striking period with its events and people.
