- Summary:
- The Khanate of Bukhara was founded in 1500 by Muhammad Shibani Khan in Maveraunnehr. Muhammad Shibani Khan, a member of the Shibanlans dynasty, was descended from Cuci, the son of Genghis Khan. Shibani Khan has dominated Western Turkistan in a short time. The state founded in Bukhara continued its existence independently in Turkestan until 1868. With the Russian conquest of the region in 1868, it remained under the domination of the Russian Tsar for a half century. In this work by Selim Serkan Ükten, the military structure of the Bukhara-Uzbek Khanate in the center of Turkestan was examined. In addition, the reasons for the military retention of the state, with the evaluation of the political structure of the geography has been tried to be revealed.
