- Description: Edward and his brother John talk about the work they used to do on the farm and John's attemps at being a salesman after losing his leg in the First World War. They discuss their marriages, children, religious life as part of the Lutheran church, participation in the Minnisota Finnish Historical Society, Ed's role in the co-operative stores and various civic duties.

- Begun in 1979 and completed in 1984, the Minnesota Finnish American Family History Project had as its purpose the documentation of the personal histories and experiences of Minnesota Finnish Americans. The Project was sponsored by the Minnesota Finnish American Historical Society and the Iron Range, St. Louis County, and Otter Tail Historical Societies.
