- Summary:
- Robert Beverly's treatise entitled "The History and Present State of Virginia, in Four Parts," which was printed in London in 1705. The native Virginian extensively covered many topics, including history, governance, natural resources and produced goods, and Native American religion, laws and customs. Also included were a preface, table of contents, and numerous illustrations. Of note, each of the four parts (bound in one book) were separately paginated.
