- Report of the Joint Select Committee on Railroads, submitted to the Connecticut General Assembly during the May session in 1848. The committee considered the petition of the New Haven and Northampton Company for the extension of their road on the north side a the state, and the discontinuation of the canal in order to lay railroad tracks in the bed of same. Both majority and minority reports and recommendations were included in this document.
