Volume 1 is a translation of Tschichold's A brief history of the ampersand.
"Printed in France by Moutot, Montrouge, June 2018. The second edition of 1,000 copies of this new English translation was published by -zeug" -- volume 1 colophon.
Volume 2 is a collection of 288 ampersands "produced on 6th and 7th May 2017, during Saint-Jean Porte Lantine weekend. Most of these glyphs were collected through and international call for entries, while the other part was designed during the type design workshop, held in Paris on that occasion and directed by VTF at La Générale" -- volume 2 last page.
