- 『대일경소』는 중국 당나라때에 인도밀교를 가져온 선무외삼장과 그의 제자인 일행선사에 의해 차술되었으므로, 그 내용은 전성기 때의 인도밀교와 이를 수용한 중국밀교의 모습을 그대로 보여주기 때문이다. 특히 한역『대일경소』말미에는 한국 밀교의 대표적 저작이라 할 수 있는 신라 불가사의스님의『공양차제법소』가 포함되어 있다. 인도와 중국, 한국을 대표하는 밀교가에 의해서 완성된『대일경소』는 동북아시아 밀교의 원형이라고 볼 수 있기 때문에 우리는 이 책을 통해서 고대 한국 밀교의 모습도 찾을 수 있을 것이라 생각한다.
