- Summary:
- This book is a volume in a series of original chapters on all aspects of ancient philosophy. The chapters include critical notices of major books. The series is published twice yearly. The series, which presents itself more as an anthology than as a journal, has traditionally allowed space for lengthier studies. It allows as much space as the merits of the subject require and it is devoted to the best and most serious scholarship. This volume contains three chapters on Plato, five on Aristotle, one on Academic scepticism, and a review chapter on Michael Peramatzis’ recent book on Aristotle’s Metaphysics.
