Summary:
The Grenfell Tower fire broke out on 14 June 2017 in the 24-story Grenfell Tower block of flats in North Kensington, West London, United Kingdom. It caused 72 deaths, over 70 were injured, and 223 people escaped. It was the worst residential fire in the UK since the Second World War. Safety concerns had been expressed before the fire, but had not been addressed. This anthology, consisting of poems by 62 very different poets, "encourages readers to listen and bear witness to the human cost of Grenfell."
