- Summary:
- Founded in 1981, the Italian experiential theater company Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio premieres in 2002 the Tragedia Endogonidia, a grand tragedy without any narrative, plot or chronological continuity in a genealogy of the sacrificial that puts in friction the violence, the erosion of the myth and the loss of the tragic in the Western Society. The book addresses the theatre of Romeo Castellucciœs group and its directorœs engagement with visual and performance arts. The eleven-episode production "Tragedia Endogonidia" (2002-2004) was opened in six European countries and ten cities over a two-year period.
