The Women's Baptist Home Mission Society was founded in 1877 and amalgamated with the Woman’s American Baptist Home Mission Society under the latter name in 1909. Sunlight Mission at Second Mesa, Arizona, of which the poem speaks, came under the aegis of the Women's Baptist Home Mission Society in 1901.
