The Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Brussels are staging the exhibition Magritte, Broodthaers & Contemporary Art (13 October 2017-18 February 2018), in which they bring together over 50 masterpieces by René Magritte with a large number of modern and contemporary artworks. The central focus is on the dialogue that Marcel Broodthaers maintained with Magritte's oeuvre: their shared interest in the writing of Mallarmé and exploration of the status of the object and of language lead to a new perspective on their relationship.
