Summary:

Lazone is a city of historic buildings, stilts, and destroyed dreams, bathed by the River of Shadows and inhabited by strong female protagonists, some even supernatural, who give name to each piece. The Amazon life has its mark in the work of the author, Lazone being a reflection of Manaus in several phases of its history. At the time of composing his anthology, the author sought to bring a wide panorama of Lazone, in pieces with different themes, historical approaches and genres, originally written between 1980 and 2012. "Salomeh", for example, focuses on political aspects and the history of the Industrial District. "Ambrozhya" police mix and suspense, and "Sabine" is a copy of horror trash.Apart from the selection, the author still made a point of reviewing and updating all the texts, which he has done over the last five years. "It brought me the opportunity to wipe out the stories and visualize other scenarios," he says. Part of these texts -- tragedies, dramas, and comedies -- were previously known only to the public through the stage. The author wanted to make a theater book that could be read as a novel or collection of short stories.
