Summary:

Early 18th-century alphabetical index to three unknown volumes, perhaps commonplace books, of Latin and French poetry and prose. The entries, whose keywords may be for an author, title, subject, or genre, are for acrostics, ballads, dialogues, enigmas, epigrams, epitaphs, fables, madrigals, satires, sermons, and sonnets. Each entry is followed by a volume number (1-3) and page number, but no information about the publications from which they were originally copied. An alphabetical list of authors (classical, Catholic, and literary) following the index (p. 147-168) does not have page numbers for index entries or page numbers from the three volumes.
