- On the evening of January 25, 1968, a devastating earthquake ravaged much of the island of Sicily. In the playwright's home village of Gibilina, he shows us childhood and old age, life and death, before and after the tragedy, all separated by the terrible moments of silence before the living and the dead can comprehend it all.
