- Biography/History:
- Born Lucette Madeleine Ferraille in 1920 to a Catholic family in Calais, France. Blau married here first husband in 1939 they had one son Claude. They divorced in 1944. Upon the founding of Israel in 1948 Blau became interested in Zionism and studied Judaism. In 1950 she and her son Claude converted to Judaism and traveled to Israel. Blau eventually followed anti-Zionist movements and was involved in the Neturei Karta community. She married the founder and rabbinical leader of Neturei Karta Amram Blau in 1965. Ruth Blau was also involved in the abduction of Yossele Schumacher in 1960. She died in Israel in 2000.

- A photocopied typescript consisting of 240 leaves written by Ruth Blau circa 1981. The typescript is an autobiographical account of Blau's life from a child in Calais to her adulthood. Blau describes her conversion to Judaism, her life in Israel, the Neturei Karta, the abduction of Schumacher, and her marriage to Amram Blau. There are some annotations and corrections on some leaves. The typescript was housed in a mailing envelope from Doubleday & Company to Colin D. Edwards. The typescript is lacking a title page.
