Summary:
Consists chiefly of letters written to Gomes Eanes while he was abbot of the monastery of Santa Maria in Florence (1419-1439). Letters are in Portuguese, Latin and various vernaculars of Italy, and comprise the largest known repository of 15th century letters written in Portuguese. The letters are now housed at the Biblioteca Laurenziana and at the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale.
